this little light of mine...

This little light of mine,  I'm gonna let it shine...

                     {It only takes one little candle to brighten a dark room}

                   ... this little light of mine...  I'm gonna let it shine...

  I love chandeliers.  I'm not sure if it's their sense of simple elegance, beauty, and flair of feminine 'dress-up'  or if it is the added measure of interest to the task of lighting...  I would place one in every room of our house if I could.  I once contemplated placing one in our laundry room to soften the 'industrial function' appearance with some visual beauty... that laundry thing again.  One of my favorite authors in the blog/designer world even put one in her chicken coop.  No, I'm not kidding!  Makes gathering eggs so much more fabulous! :)  I'll see if I can find a photo to prove it to you! Be right back!

O.K.  I'm back and all I have to bring you is a few pastel eggs from her fancy chickens and an address.  Guess you'll just have to go see for yourself!  It will be well worth the trip.
She may be fetching eggs, or out on a photo shoot, or planning a fabulous party for a cowboy and cowgirl to get hitched but I'm sure you'll get to see her around there somewhere!
So a chandelier in my laundry doesn't sound too over-the-top after seeing one in a chicken coop.   and I do spend a lot of time in there...
Here's a nugget of gold or you could call it a 'golden egg'  if you'd like...
any way you look at it, it's wisdom...
"You are the light of the world...
let your light shine..."
from Matthew 5:14, the Bible

have some fun over there!

  4. ooh, a chandelier in the laundry room would be cool. My washer and dryer are in the basement, but a chandelier could be cool down there... it just couldn't hang very low. :-) LOL!

  6. I love chandeliers too. I saw one once in a closet and another one over a claw-footed bathtub. So elegant.

    A chandelier in your laundry room? Why not!

    Your pictures are fabulous. I'm very fond of the one on the porch with the pastel chairs. The room has an "islandy" look, but the chandelier makes it tres chic.

  7. I love chandeliers too and Id put them everywhere if I could. Im thinking about putting one in my walk in robe even tho it is quite small. But I love decadence in this way.Did you see Farm Chic who has one in a chicken coup? Oh so gorgeous.
